Thick skin rocker protection?

Anyone made a set of rocker panel skins that wrap under towards the rail using 1/8-3/16" material?

I'm looking for something that will hold up to mild wheeling without the weight and loss of clearance like a set of rocker skids. I pulled and sold mine. If i were to decide on something with weight to it i'd opt for a rocker replacement this time around.

Some of the old timers may remember this, Mopar had a rocker skin available back in the day. Jamboree something or other. IIRC these also went under the rocker as well. Something like this welded in might work for me.

If i were to try and make these, how could i get the rounded curverture in thicker material to contour to the rockers?

I might have something for yah... my bud made some up that fasten to the rocker with recessed allen heads and rubber well nuts. they also fasten to the pinch seam.

Yep, just like that. Embarassed to say that thread didnt come up in my search and now that i see it i remember them. Thanks.

I have some 1/4"x2" strips in garage, looks like i would need 3" or so to make a set of those.
