Ouray Colorado! Decided to take a weekend trip out here. Unfortunetly, with all the snow that has been in the high country, all but one trail is closed. However, we spent the day on Yankee Boy Basin and it was beautiful. Just thought I would send a couple pics with a vid and say hello.

I used about 6 rolls of film on my 35mm SLR too. As soon as I get those developed, i usually have them put on a cd and I can post a few of them. Im confident I got some kick ass pictures.

Please do if you don't mind. I wanted to go down there in October and I guess I'll hold off until late spring.

I was just up in the silt carbondail aspin and I-70 area last weekend and all the colors are great to see. Yellows reds with the with snow cap tops. Worst part was I forgot my camera.

You said a couple of the trails were closed...

Does anybody know if they actually close the alpine loop? I'd love to get down there the weekend of the 21st if the weather is not too bad. We're just wanting to do the loop and some short hikes.

Hope the colors rock.

Sounds like a lot has closed early due to snow.

It snowed in the higher elevations around here last night. Bummer. Jeeping may be over for the summer now. I guess it's on to Road 24 and points west.

Weatherman says that its supposed to rain every day from now til next friday. that just means more snow in higher elevations. if you can get out now i'd do it.

Thanks for posting up those trails. We're going to hold off until next year.

Did you get that info by calling that number or were you able to copy it off of a web page somewhere? Thanks!!!
