Considering a digital SLR camera and found a couple that really interest me. The Pentax ist DL and the Pentax 110D. Pentax is offering a 100 dollar rebate on the DL so final price of 430 dollars. Seems to be a pretty good bang for the buck. I can't really find much of a difference between the 110D and DL, except the 110D is the newer series and the autro focus is changed a bit. Suggestions?

My dad has a Pentax *IST DL

Awsome camera. I wouldn't hesitate at all to buy one.

I've been wanting to save up the scratch for a *ist.

I've got an old K-1000 (metal body!) and the lenses I already have will fit. Should help to save a few shekels... Granted, some of the "automatic" features won't work - but I don't use them anyhow...

Pentax is offering 100 dollars back on the ist DL bodies and selected lenses until October 11. Pretty good deal, I think you can get the body only for about 400 after rebate. But it's only a fe bucks more for the standard lens for it.

You should keep an eye out on the Camera Camera store on Ebay.

My dad got his *Ist body, a 18-70MM Pentax lens, 1Gb Sd card, case, rechargable batteries and charger plus a cleaning kit for less then $900.00.

SLR's are very nice. I really want the Nikon. Pentax is a quality camera as well.
