What's with the 4.10 gears? Nobody does 4.10 gears anymore. 4.56 at least.

BTW, is that the tie rod or an axle tube? :D Looks BEEEEEEFY! :worship:

BTW how much caster you running? I see you wrote 17 deg on the axle tube in one of the pics. That might be 10 deg too much..

17* at zero pinion angle.. the pinion angle I have measured on the D30 is around 10*. So 7* caster..

Thanks for the donor info. How are you going to do the upper control arm mounts above the pumpkin? I've read that that area can be risky to weld on.

Well after some time spent last week finally tacked the Inner "C" on the axle tube with the desired camber/caster angle for the approximated pinon angle or 12*.. I got bored and pulled the jeep down.. removed the old axle and arms, and just slid the new one under to start the madness... Just placed another order with ballistic fab for some new joints and tube adapters...

well still not done but making baby steps lately.. been trying to keep the wife happy so I don't end up divorced.. I need to either lower the frame side of the track bar or raise the axle side up to get it parallel to the drag link.. I need to get master Billy over to have a look soon.. Now to do the darn upper link mount..

Using the stock Ford hubs and Rotors, with small bearing Jeep spindles and the flat tops came off a jeep J10.. basically the same as GM stuff.. Lots of good info on this set up over on Pirate with MR N.

I am staying with 33" tires because with my lift they tuck in the fenders without trimming.. that and I am going back to 4.10's, because the stroker has so much grunt I was over geared with 4.56's.. that and my fuel economy is crap maybe 14.. I am trying to build it reliable and get better economy from a brick..

Have you done any mods to your brake master cylinder to account for the larger Dana 44 calipers? By the way, looks sweet.

I am running the WJ master booster and had the WJ dual piston brakes on the last set up. The stock d44 calipers are 2.94" piston and had a 13/16" bore master. So I am ok with a 1" bore master since the wj is 25mm which is 1" bore.. With the wilwood dual 2" bore pistons its should be a good combination.. I will soon find out.. either a hero or just another zero...:D

Well I was going to get them re-powdercoated but ran out of cash for that stuff.. The steering was a ballistic kit, but the tie rod ends they supplied were total crap, so I got the ones from PSC instead.. Blue Torch Fab high steer arm, because Dan builds awesome stuff for a fair price.. Slowly but shirley it will get done..
