traction bar and pre-running

Does anyone have any reservations about using a traction bar with a long ~14" travel rear suspension? The MJ springs I've got are killing me with axle wrap on the sand.

Just make sure you put a shackle at the frame end with good flexable joints like heims or Johnny joints or the RE flex joints and you should be good to go. I have a traction bar on mine and the only thing I wish I did differently is make it longer to cut down on the high AS.
