does anybody know if there are any major differences that would prevent you from putting 97+ xj carpet into a 90 ?

The floorboards are different in the front seating area. The 90's seats mount to a flat surface and the later models have a raised area that they(the seats) mount to.

The parking brake isn't centered on the transmission hump on the 97+ XJ like it is on the 96-.
