can't remember headlight auto-off?!?

About six years ago ugraded headlamp loom w/10 gauge, relays, etc... for H4's. Can't remember if my '98 Classic's headlights - before the mod - switched off automatically after a few seconds if I left them on after key was removed.

Getting forgetful lately, but even w/dual optimas getting tired of killing the main battery.

If I did disable this feature (if it existed) could someone help me restore it?

One thing, If I leave them on and turn off motor - even after pushing in headlight switch - I still have to switch key to ON position to get them to turn off.

There is a headlamp delay module under the dash near the headlamp switch. Is it still there?

Will check, think I disabled headlight chimes, might of did same to module (unintentionally),
