salvage yard near willowbrook mall?

ive been there once before a few years ago, but we were looking for stuff for my buddys 240. anyone know if they have much jeep stuff? i forget the name but its off of 46, west of willowbrook mall on the right heading westbound.

Back in the day it was called G.I. Auto Salvage or Pinebrook Salvage. I was there during the summer and there wasn't much there for jeeps or anything else for that matter. That's when the price of scrap was high and they were crushing everything.

i always look when i drive past and don't see many jeeps. there is 1 or 2 zj's there but i don't think much else. spechts in warwick, NY has many cherokees though, a few zj's and even an mj or 2. they are right over the border from vernon

ok cool warwick isnt much farther than the yard on 46. ill check it out once its warmer and drier. trudging through mud for parts is never fun

I could be mistaken, but I believe they're shutting down. Their inventory has been shrinking for over 2 years. There is virtually nothing left.

If they can avoid extensive cleanup costs, I would think that property would be very marketable :).

i think so as well, about 1/4 or so of the lot is now empty. maybe i'll stop in and see what the deal is one day

ok finally i went by there today. just wanted to say its probably not worth anyones while if they want jeep related stuff and theres alot less cars on the whole now (doesnt look like theyre shutting down though). all they had in the main yard jeepwise were two non-V8 grands. it looked like they had atleast one xj and a grand or two in the smaller "employees only" yard. they wouldnt let us go in though cause there was no one to escort us

i grabbed two side mirrors off some mitsu pickup that i was gonna put on when i take my doors off but......the guy at the desk wanted $20 for EACH! i argued with the guy but he held firm at 15 each. :bs: didnt make much sense when autoparts stores have the like for $10
