Hi guys! I want to know if some of you have had problems with water on the the driver floor. I have a 99 XJ and i've been searching and i found some info about the passenger floor but nothing interesting on the driver side. I recently had a patch done on my floor cause there was a small hole in it and another rust job on the side of my windshiled top driver side cause it was leaking. The dude took my windshield off, took care off the rust, paint, put the windshield back and did the floor job too. Both front end of my gutters were rusted and painted too. My truck is rust treated with oil since its new..! But even with all that job done there is water comin in when it rains. When im home the truck is parked on an incline and seems to stay dry. So if any of you guys have had problems like mine, it could help me out locating that damn leak :) Thx !

look for the wettest spot on the roof, if there are none, try putting a towel in your door and see if it gets soaked.

pull the vinyl piece on top of the sill. I bet you find that water is coming in there.

if the water seal on the door isnt tight, water can leak in, and being that its such a large area, you will notice the leak, if there is one there. so the towel in beteen the door and the body will tell you that, if the inside gets wet, you have a leak.

On a twice yearly thing you really should spray all the door seals with silicone spray. Makes the last alot longer and they don't freeze to the body in the cold weather...
