I live to far away to offer any real help, but I'd suggest posting this on the virtualjeepclub.com. They have an organized search and rescue off road group over there, that I am a part of, and they can help you most likely. I'll pray for the lost and hope everyone gets home safe...

If the Sheriff's office is already activated for S&R, please make sure any search activities by this club are approved by them. The last thing we want to do is get in the way of their search process or destroy any tracks/evidence that may help them in finding the missing guy.

Please contact Nancy if you are heading out. She's very experienced with SAR and is trying to coordinate so we don't have to do any searches for lost searchers.

Tony is at class today but I am available to start a search operation today. (My plan is to take the camper to the rest area.) Those of us available for 2nd shift should decide on a base of operations (say the rest stop 87 and 188 into punkin center) - I'm going to start the Missing person report form by calling Jesses wife and will post this info up here. Does anyone have quadrangle maps to Roosevelt and Apache areas? Anyone be starting out near world of maps to purchase them if needed. These maps will need to be written on and basically destroyed for search purposes.

ANYONE SEARCHING ALREADY -- Call me if you find him - 480 209 8836 -- Any hams? What repeaters can you hit from the search area? ________ Keep detailed records of where you searched (please try to write down the road numbers/names, descriptions and GPS coordinates if possible) ... Note tire tracks, question other off roaders and be ready to be debriefed after your search. At that time you will need to be able to tell the search coordinator if you are ready to be re-deployed or if you will be standing down and your next availability.

I just spoke with Nancy. Gila County SO thinks they just found his vehicle. They are checking that out and we are going to wait until we hear back before anything else happens. We should know this evening what they find out. I will post again as soon as I hear anything. Communications into the area is extremely poor.

the sherriffs is taking the mom to identify the vehicle ill keep you posted they way its going it very promising. they think he's running from something. but I will keep this updated as I hear information

From what I can tell the vehicle (perhaps in a damaged state) was found. And someone was found either injured or worse. I think we should not speculate or pass any judgements on this thread until Jesse makes a post (if he wants) explaining what the outcome was, or there is a news report.

Other than that, I will say I was impressed by how the Jeepers quickly organized to help out someone else in need. Says a lot about our community. Makes me proud to be a part of it. Let's wish the best for Jesse and his family. I think they have some hard times ahead.
