What were they going for in 2004? I could see that you might have gotten a deal, or they might have been stupid and expected full price. That would be awesome if you could get a deal on one and just stick it in storage for a rainy day. That makes me wonder the lengths that dealers have to go to when they need to get rid of old model vehicles.

You gotta show up to some of the bigger events! NAXJA anniversary event had so many XJ's in one spot that it brought tears to many eyes.

But the site of nice looking unspoiled rigs is definately heart stopping.

"The good ole days" The beginning of the end for Jeep. Anybody got a shot of a wharehouse full of 4.0's. Now that the XJ and the 4.0 is gone, Jeep is dead in my opinion.

thats a very nice sight but I'm confused if this was taken in 2004 then all those xj's are 2001. It doesn't make sense that a dealer would have that many three year old vehicles on their lot , it would bankrupt them have that much old inventory.

From the sign in the background, it looks like a used car lot. I would imagine that they got a killer deal on them (as the dealers would have had no use for them). I doubt there would have been many people back then thinking that it would be cool to pick up a four year old new car.

update: 100% of them were lease returns (sorry, no virgins).

The limited models were at the end of the line - and going around the corner.
