Love too.. If I get what I need done this week and also depends on if I have to work this weekend. You know I need the money now more than ever. Plus if I have the money to go.

I have a feeling about your "secret"...

As for the wife... She never checks this site soooo..... I will deal with her later. I don't feel like "loving" her right now.

BUT ANYWAYS.....
I don't know what all I need to do before gilmer. I wanted to start a few weeks ago but you all know how that went.

Jay, I NEED your welder over here this week. I have some things to work on. Would be nice to get the Bro-in-Laws plasma cutter over here too.

well i'll cut i just need to borrow his tools, actually i have a dremel with a few cut off wheels. he's done it before and i havent, and his doors still stay on. so i could use some pointers and do it myself.

xxmidianxx
February 23rd, 2009, 21:02
actually i have a dremel with a few cut off wheels.

You will need more than just a few if you are going to go that route. Try an angle grinder w/ cutoff wheel. It will take about 30 sec. (if even that long) to cut what you need to.

eflores
February 24th, 2009, 06:00
look at my myspace pics lol i have pictures of me hacking my doors off....came out rather well actually and i used an angle grinder with a thick grinding wheel lol

It only took 3 cut off wheels for my dremel when I did Jennifer's doors.

I did things a bit different than others it appears though. I got sick of trying to line up the hinge pins to put the doors back on so I removed the pins all together and there are now....uummm...I can't remember what they're called....those pins with the ball bearing at one end and a wire loop at the other....that we can just pull out to take the doors off.

I got my front locker in, so now I am locked front (lunchbox locker), and Crap-loc LSD rear. I honestly don't think I am going to do anything else besides put another new power steering pump on mine. I just replaced it last week, and the "new" (actually remanufactured with LT warranty) one has leaked since I put it on a week ago. So probably this weekend I will swap it again. I may also get a better CB antenna (since mine seems to only have about 300 yards of range for some reason), and possibly figure out why my reverse lights stopped working.

eflores
February 26th, 2009, 06:04

eflores
March 9th, 2009, 09:42
do you have a CB in your rig IAN?

MischiefMan
March 9th, 2009, 10:09
Can we define "in"??

Now, you know I have a CB. Remember Toire mounted it with a roll of duct tape?

Both Jennifer and I have CB's. Neither is installed atm. Things did not go as planned last weekend. We have a friend whose wife is in a coma and that took precedence over getting the Heeps ready for RoM. That being said, both XJ's are still drivable and trail worthy, just not as drivable or trail worthy as we'd like them to be. :)

At the very least, we'll make it out to Barnwell....even if it's in my car....and we just hang out with everyone at the campsite.

Swamprat
March 9th, 2009, 10:13

MischiefMan

MischiefMan
March 12th, 2009, 21:24
This freakin' sucks....

DangerGirl and I have been doin' our best to get our shite together to make it out there. One problem after another has given us grief. The XJ's are no where near up to trail worthy status. Gawd, the '86 is still sitting with a flat. Finances are in even worse shape. Our friend's wife is still in a coma. We have no idea what to do with the new dogs....my kid's chihuahua that got dumped on me and her shepard/rot mix that doesn't like anything bigger than itself on 4 legs.....and I've consumed every bit of alcohol in the house....

IF we do make it out and IF anyone gives me grief about the condition of our XJ's I'm gonna either cry, put Exlax in their coffee, urinate in their front seat, perform any one of the various suggestions given to TOI in response to the high school prank played on him, or come up with something worse....
