oil presure question

Make sure they didn't just dislodge the connection from the oil pressure switch, which is located right on the oil filter mount. On a pre-91, disconnection will result iin zero reading. On a 81-up it will pin the gauge at max.

You should look very promptly, because if, instead, some knucklehead actually broke the switch without noticing (or pretending not to notice), it will leak out oil and make a mess, as well as eventually running you dry.

But I have to say that unless you had this done by some family member you love more than you love your Jeep (or by yourself, of course), I would never go back to any place that doesn't check oil pressure after an oil change. If you can't trust them to do that, what can you trust them to do right?
