New front bumper setup

The thick sheet metal that Chrysler called a front bumper had finally had enough of me dragging it back and forth across stuff. So, I decided to do something about it. Since I lack the skills, I got a buddy of mine to work his magic with my current tow hook brackets and a TJ bumper I was given awhile back. Sure, it's not 1/4" steel, but it's better than what I had.

We'll see how I like the tow hooks in the position that they're in. He notched the bumper so it'd be easier to put a strap on the hooks. But, like he said, if it doesn't work it can always be reworked. :pirate1:

If I were you I would give a little more clearance around the hooks. I think I could do some damage to a strap the way it is.

looks better than stock, but i tend to agree that a strap will get pulled against the bumper, and cause damage to the strap...
:looney: that is unless the nose of the xj is pointed to the sky, then the strap might not touch...
