yj box

The time has come to replace my very worn power steering box, I am looking to upgrade, and am thinking a yj box. I daily drive my xj as well as wheel it, will I be happy with it? heard something about fixed ratio and was just wondering if this will have any negative affects? thanks

look into a dodge durango box there is a thread on cherokee forum they say its a great upgarde not sure about the yj though

the durango box is ok if you have a stronger pump to keep up with the bigger bore box. the YJ box is nice if you have bigger tires because it is geared lower then the XJ box. they say it (YJ box) is not as good on the highway due to its fixed ratio, but I havent noticed. plus the YJ box has a forth mounting hole so with alittle work it it stay on the unibody alittle better then the XJ and durango boxes
