For those who help out with the team, I'm bringing a keg of Arrogant Bastard Ale with me.
The question is, should I bring a pony keg or full keg?

Please refer to Stone Brewing Co.'s web site....
It is, by far, the finest brew on this planet.
You all will deserve it after the race!

I don't know if I get to help in an official capacity (though I've offered to!). But I'll certainly help consume if allowed =). Regardless, because of the great beer it is (and the company you keep!) I'd say full keg. I'll help destroy the leftover evidence!

Funny you should mention IPA.
It is the only beer that Stone brews that I
just don't like. I like thier other Pale Ales, but
the IPA falls well short...IMHO.

In the unfortunate event that you happen to buy too much and end up with a surplus, I can certainly help fix that.

Along with my XJ I will also be shipping out a quantity of Yuengling Lager, which while not of the same caliber as Stone products, is a fairly famous East Coast offering that a lot of folks have heard of but never tried. I'll also be bringing several more hoppy brews to supplement this.

Perhaps we can work out some sort of barter.

I'm arriving at Ontario at around 10:45 AM...between getting the RV, buying groceries, driving out etc I imagine we'll be on the lakebed sometime in the late afternoon...my trailer and XJ should be showing up around that same time.

Our flight back home leaves Ontario at 11:35 AM Monday morning, so we'll be spending Sunday night out there as well.

I'll be procuring a few cases of Yuengling tomorrow.

I'll provide samples free of charge to NAXJA folk in exchange for a fair review...however 'skewed' it might be due to Rick's keg offerings. :D

Can't wait til Wednesday.

You may just need to pick up a keg.
Call me before you head out.

PS Keeping growlers cold is easy, they do fit in most coolers.

To say anything negative about Yuengling Lager around here is considered a form of sacrilege.

In all honesty, it's a good cheap beer. I bought two cases of 24 for $18.59 each. I think the scarcity out West is part of the allure, and I don't think you'll be disappointed in it as a lager, but I wouldn't put it up against Stone by any stretch.

Which is why I'm also bringing a case of Hop Devil IPA from the Victory Brewing Co. in Downington, PA (right near Andy in PA's place). I've had very few IPA's that I like better (Lost Coast brewing and Stone are two that come to mind  ) but it's a very fine east coast offering.

Yuengling is great beer.
I wish we could get that and other Mid-West blue collar beer out here like Old Style.

Jes, you like *OLD STYLE*????? I'm used to calling that Old Swill.

Of course, it could be worse. You could like Hamm's.

I love beer, I'm not a beer snob.
Can't say that I've had a Hamms in decades, don't even know what the can looks like.

My jeep and beer are somewhere in the middle of Pennsylvania right now. Hopefully all will work out and we'll have a synchronized arrival on the lakebed Wednesday evening. :)
