Just drill the hole out in the booster assembly, it is really easy, exspecially with a uni-bit. I did mine on my 89 and Kurts on his 86. We used 94-95 boosters so it may be differant but not 100% sure. It would save time taking out and reinstalling a set of pedals. I'm sure you already have but check out the threads on doing this with the 94-95 booster. They are both dual diagfram boosters just a differant rod. Just a thought. You will be very happy with the swap when you get done, no matter which booster you use.
