You don't need to open a bank account. I've been with wells fargo since 2002 and haven't had trouble getting the coupon. They might make you sign up for new services. Two years ago I had to add three services (which were free). Last year after looking at my account for a few minutes and seeing that I have just about everything with them, he just gave me a coupon. Just go in and give it a try. These were all from the Boulder branch on Arapahoe.

What is the coupon?
A % off, or a fixed $ amount, or what?

Fixed amount...its a 2 for one deal, making the pass like $150 per person.

To get it or redeem it you technically have to be enrolled in any colorado college. That said my wife has uses her California State Long Beach ID from 2002 with no problem. I'm currently at CU so I don't know how strict they are checking this when giving out the coupons. The form doesn't say the college has to be state recognized or accredited or anything like that so I bet you could make a "Colorado College of Automotive Repair" at Kinko's and it'll do. It saves us $350 so it is worth the trouble to make it happen.
