It is an interesting story to follow:
"Report: Sirius Talking To Liberty Media
A New Suitor?
The NEW YORK TIMES' DEALBOOK blog is reporting that SIRIUS XM RADIO is in talks with LIBERTY MEDIA about a possible deal to head off Chapter 11 bankruptcy and a possible takeover by ECHOSTAR. LIBERTY, owner of DIRECTV, is headed by cable industry veteran JOHN MALONE and is said to be in preliminary talks with SIRIUS; the LOS ANGELES TIMES is reporting that the deal could involve LIBERTY/DIRECTV buying out shareholders in SIRIUS XM and repaying the radio company's debts, but that a Chapter 11 filing would favor ECHOSTAR as the ultimate victor because of its bond holdings in SIRIUS XM.
SIRIUS faces $175 million in maturing debt on TUESDAY (2/17) and was reported YESTERDAY to be working with advisors on Chapter 11 bankruptcy paperwork in anticipation of a filing."

That was the first thought that came to me.....
Perhaps you could 're-broadcast' the local radio signals also....
Take that to Cheyenne.....
You need more to do.

I feel torn on this issue.
I drive for a living and for the longest time depended on XM for a way to keep sane.
After countless new radios due to cheap build quality and the crap stations you get now that they have merged, I have been mostly podcasting the shows I like and leaving the damn thing off.
Part of me wouldn't care if they folded.

I still have my original Sirius radio, I got it in '02, still works great.
The radio that was stolen was purchased in '03, it still worked.
The Stratus Sirius GAVE me to replace the stolen one, it, well is a cheap piece of Chinese junk, I will be surprised if it lasts three years.
Remember kids, price over quality, the people will buy it if it is cheap!
