View Full Version : Tera Knuckle questions?

Who here in Socal has used the high steer knuckle from Teraflex with heim steering? If you have, where did you go to get the appropriate sleeves for a 5/8 heim bolt?

Apparently tera only sells tapered sleeves.

If I end up going to a machine shop to make some sleeves, would there be any interest here, in Socal only, to start a group buy on straight sleeves?

With any machine shop, it will probably cost the same for 4 as it would for 12. I am checking with you all to try to help ease the burden of cost for me and make things easier for you that are wanting to do the same thing.

Just drill out the holes, no need for a machine shop.



Oh, unless they make the D30 knuckles like they do the D60 knuckles with the large hole and a sleeve.....

I hadn't heard that the D30 knuckles came that way.

yea, the 30 knuckles come with the large hole (7/8")and a tapered sleeve for stock TRE.

It's fuzzy, but I seem to remember them being that way. I've got a pair of the inserts sitting here that I got from one of their kits. When we used to hang them on the wall for display they'd be shaky because the inserts were left in the box. Yeah, now that I think about it they started shipping them a few years ago with the tapers reamed...and no inserts.

that would require changing out my entire steering setup.
3/4 heims pass side, 5/8 on drive side. seems retarded. then again spending this much money on a dana 30 isnt exactly brilliant.

Alright, I am having some sleeve/insterts machined for the knuckle, they will be made for a 5/8 heim bolts.

I am making several sets, they will be about 36 dollars a set, my cost. Let me know if you want any, you will need 4.
