im rebuilding the front end of my MJ. im putting the 2001 header pannel on it to update its look but i have noticed i the turn signal lamp socket on a 2001 Cherokee has 2 lights in it not one like the 89 front end, and im perty sure that the side markers have the same soket so i think that will be ok but will the original turn signal plug still fit atleast one of the sockets on the new lamp?

You know what I'm not exactly sure, that's a damn good question. Let me see if I can get an answer from you from a buddy of mine who did the swap, I'll see if I can get him over here to post about it. Thanks again for trying to bring traffic to the jeepspeed section!

Why no beams ha ha? Beams are nice but solid axles should be easier to fit in anyones budget/skill range and they still can handle good. I think the hanneman fronts look sick on the 97+ header.

The socket does fit, use in outer holes in the lamp assy. I just did this on my 92 MJ. And I used an OE plug for the inside hole, but not wired up, just to keep the housing semi-sealed.

i dont think it is... if so its an amazingly accurate one. not the first time an XJ or MJ has been beamed, this one showed up on dezertrangers a year or so ago.

the blue one just looks 'off'
especially the inside of the pass. fender, and how the beams are at partial droop at ride height...

He doesn't have a thread, he doesn't advertise it... he just lurks over there, and a few people know of his build.

Sorry for the delay - The side markers didn't match up very well. I could have used the OE ones from the MJ, but I was concerned about them popping out when I'm boondockin. I spliced in the 2001 plugs.
