here it is. 2001 xj. 8.25 rear and the 30 up front. going with 6.5 lift and running 33's. detroit in rear and tru trak up front. are the 456 ratio what i want? i think so but getting to much info from people who don't even have a wheeler. thanx tom in ca.

If i remember correctly, the highest you can go on a 8.25 is 4:56's. If that is the case, then go with 4:56's.

You might loose the ability to go 120 mph, but that is worth it in my opinion.

Are you Manual or automatic? 4cy or 6cy?

You want the lowest you can go........2.73's should do wonders for you........HAHA



Actually, 4.56's are the deepest they make for the 8.25, though I heard rumors:anon: of a 4.88's from randy's but uses a special offset carrier.......I haven't actually called to find out.
