MJ dana 44 questions

I have tried up and down to search for anything about swapping an mj dana 44 into an xj th no luck (im sure theres tons of threads i just suck t searching) ANyhow here is the skinny on it: I have been searching for an xj dana 44 for a long time within a reasonable distance with no luck. I just found an mj 44 and am wonderng if its worth the 250 investment to try and get it to fit the xj? Just wondering how technical it is to get it to fit the xj? any help would be appreciated

The MJ axle is spring under axle and the XJ is spring over. If you cut off the MJ mounts and weld on XJ mounts its a direct fit!

You have to remove the old spring perches,weld new ones on top and add shock mounts.
