Well, we bought a house today in Weare, NH.

Its on 54 acres, so who wants to come wheel in my backyard? :farmer:

Wow that is a beautiful house, and on some beautiful land. Congrats on the house.

Oh, and I'll definitely be there for wheeling.

Wow, nice place John!!! Let me know when you move in, and I'll be up to stake out my room!!!:D If you could decorate my room with rock crawling Jeeps and monster trucks, that would be great!!!

:laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:

Congrats to you two, buying a house is a big step to make.

Did you take a walk around the property? Is it wooded? Does it have potential for some technical trails?

wow! weare is smack in the middle of a hugeee network of class IV roads, and that place looks amazing! congrats guys, thats awesome. The president of DWE, Roy, and his wife Tammy (on BOD of NEA) also just moved to Weare, she's got an XJ on 31s, dark green 95 with toyo mt's, keep an eye out for it. He has a YJ with a 350, 1 tons, and linked, on 38 sx's. Not quite done yet though...

Again, congrats on the place. When are ya moving in??

As a matter of fact, there is wheeling in your back yard. I went to school in Henniker and found a nice trail that winds around the back of Pats Peak and meets up with a quiet little pond on the back of the mountain.

If your interested PM me and I can give you directions to the trail. Its perfectly legal.

That trail is good, agreed :)

Wow - quite a change from Edison, huh? That price would get you a place less than half the size on .54 acre, right? :D

Only downside I can see is that it's going to be a long drive to get to a diner, pick up a sub, or have a pizza delivered. And I thought those life essentials were a challenge out here in the wilds of West Jersey and the Delaware Valley! Good luck.

Congratulations to both of you - the NH healthcare industry will be getting two fine folks. Although in that neck of the woods, you should be looking to upgrade your public service and join the local VFD as well.

In the future, I might have to swing east down I89 after visiting my mom in VT to play in YOUR backyard.

All the best,

MG :patriot:

Mike in NJ, Weare actually isn't that bad... definitely a lot of woods, but there's a bunch of places right in town like that, pizza/subs etc. Nice area for sure, it's generally where I'm hoping to move. Someday heh

You are always welcome in our house. Maybe this will give you an excuse to come up and wheel in New England now. We have not walked around the property, but all of it is wooded with the exception of 1 acre. It has a small stream on it and a good hill climb at the end of the backyard. I will do some exploring on it once we close and move in. If its not technical enough, we can just import some big rocks. NH is the granite state after all.

Again, congrats on the place. When are ya moving in??

We close in March, and then will probably take our time moving in over a few months. We are still waiting for RN and OT licenses in NH.

If your interested PM me and I can give you directions to the trail. Its perfectly legal.

Not too worried about having to drive to get stuff. Hell, with traffic in Edison, it could take me 15 minutes to get to a pizza place. Manchester and Concord are less than 30 minutes away. You are always welcome to stop by as well. We will have plenty of room for people to stay. No more public service for me at the time being. Need to relax and enjoy our new house for a while.

And I thought I was proud of the place I bought in October...
Wow. That's an amazing home you guys!
:worship:

Not too far from me either, about 1.5hr drive (that's close if you know NH, there's never a straight road to get you anywhere...:laugh3: ). Let me know when you'll be in there getting it ready, moving, etc. I'd be happy to come down, catch up a bit, and give you a hand.

And sorry I didn't get back to you about Saturday. I got your message near the end of the week but had appointments all afternoon/evening.

Congrats, John - NJ's loss is NH's gain.

Got a copy of "The Money Pit" (Tom Hanks) handy? - whenever someone asks when something's going to be done, you gotta give the standard answer: "Two Weeks!"

So I went exploring on our new property (walked it, not with the jeep) and I found some good hill climbs and some boulders / rockpiles that look like they would be fun to play on. I still have to explore some more, but look for a trail cutting party in July or August :scottm:

We are liking it. Not really all moved in as we are still living in NJ full-time, only in NH on the weekends. Hope to be up there full-time by some time in June.

Me 2 :lickout:

Whatever we chop, we can probably just leave in the woods.... just more things to crawl over. From the looks of it, it was more small brush that needed to be trimmed or tree branches trimmed back a little to create a path. After I do a little more exploring, I may walk out there and try to paint a path with some spray paint on trees so I can kind of figure out how a starting trail should go.

There is a pretty good saw shop in Weare, I visit it once in a while as they seem to be the only local dealer that stock parts for my MS440.

I'm in Merrimack...only 20min away. If you need help give us a shout.

well there is a story

i was chipping wood in my yard and found a recently dead racoon.I dont know how it died but it was dead, so i thought to myself...hmmm this might be intersting. i aimed the chute away from my chip pile and threw it in. what came out the end was a fine pink mist and a few chunks, the mist went everywhere cuz the wind was blowing and it was yucky and this is why i dont reccomend aminals through chippers

mind you this is a large chipmore thatll handle i think a 12 or 18" diameter log its a freakin monster
