April Fools joke. It'd be more believable if it had been in Car & Driver and a few other rags - err I mean mags as well.

Yup, April edition. The joke kinda looses something in transition when the April edition arrives in Febuary.

We all wish but it ain't happenin! It would be the resurrection of both brands.

I watched the build up of the Scout on Extreme today, it got me thinking about my dad's old 69 half cab. That was my first wheelin experience at age 3. Been in love ever since!

I watched that today too, had me confused, they said internation engine, we did an engine swap on a friend of mines back in 78 or so and that had a GM V6 in it, a big one. Whats the story on that, did IH have their own totally IH engines or were they just using GM's.

Yep, they had their own engines, lots of them. The ones that come to mind are the 152, 232 (or was it a 258), 304, 360, and a 401 I think. The numbers sound familiar but they weren't AMC/Jeep engines. They were Binder through and through. Never heard of a GM V-6 in one but who knows.

I was too young to remember what motor my Dad's Scout had in it. He traded it for a family vehicle, a 69 Commando w/dauntless V-6 and drove that thing until the body fell of in the 80's, I was in high school when we retired that one!

We had a IH 1/2 ton pick up on the farm that would haul more than our 1 ton chevy and fords. I never had to work on that one for the 5 years we owned it.

Coming from someone who is in and around Intertrashinal crap all the time...this would be the worst thing that could ever happen to Jeep.

They may have made good stuff back in the 60's but their newer stuff is total trash.
