Hey guys,

I'll get to the point, I have a 2000 XJ Limited with the automatic tranny and 50k miles. I am looking to lift it. I work construction in the summers and I'm always on recently cleared muddy lots and I am also looking to get into off roading a little bit. I am also looking to lift it for looks to (to be honest, I LOVE how a lifted jeep looks). I decided I think I want ~3.5-4.5" lift with 31-31" tires.

I have read around a bit and looked into different kits, but I wanted to hear some input on which kits the XJ guys think are quality lifts and what tires am I going to get the most life out of.

The Jeep will have to get me back and forth to college as well, not to mention I live in the suburbs AND the jeep is my parents car, so I can't go too crazy.

Basically, I want to know what kind of mods I will have to do to the jeep to put a kit of that size and tires of that size on. I want to keep trimming fenders and cutting to a minimum incase my dad wants to sell it for some reason. Any links that you guys could post, I will for sure read because I go on audio forums and I hate when people come on and clearly have not read anywhere on the forum.

Thanks for the input guys.
