hey gotta question

im changing my header pannel and i found one on ebay for 75 with grill and headlamp doors , but im puting it on an mj not an xj

the pannel is for a 1986 to 89 cherocke or a 90 91 comanche

im puting it on an 88 comanche why do you think there is a diference?

Re: budget jeepspeed prerunner build

It should be the same panel through till 97

the header panels changed quite a bit in the early years, along with the engine setup

they are interchangeable, but you might also have to swap everything that attaches to them, such as corner lights, grille, etc

ehall is correct. There were minor variations which basically dictates what grill and headlamp surround you use with the header panel. Basically the difference is trim incorporated into the grill/surrounds or not.

But since your buying all in one shot from the same vehicle your good. Just reuse your marker lights.

thanks guys

i found another one for an 2001 Cherokee classic, so im going to do that one so i update the look of the truck at the same time.

i know that the style of fenders changes as well but all the did was round them of but im going with 6inch fiberglass fenders anyway

should look like this when im done

i love it but im not sure if it will bolt right up or not

the header panel in buying comes with all light except headlamps and i found a set of projection beam headlamps on ebay for the application =]

WTF did you just say?

Tell me if I translated corectly?

"Yea, I love this pic. But they did an I-beam conversion on it, which is basically the same as a Ranger conversion. My buddy's front end on his Ranger is set up like this. I'm gonna leave it set up as a 4-link, or so called 'quadra-link' ."

ok guys, another thing i have noticed is the turn signal lamp socket on a 2001 Cherokee has 2 lights in it not one like the 89 front end, and im perty sure that the side markers have the same soket so i think that will be ok but will the original turn signal plug still fit atleast one of the sockets on the new lamp?

The side marker socket is a little different. But you can make it work.

On the turn signal sockets, the older sockets won't work because they are too long in the back. The newer ones are 90 degree sockets, which makes them shorter.

There are two sockets on each side, but I only used one of them and it works fine.
