Ok, here is what happened:
I was putting my door panels back on, and put the linkage back on and when I put my panel back on, the lock started to cycle for no reason. Then it stopped. Now my powerlocks ceased working. My remote will not lock or unlock my doors either. I checked all the fuses and none of them were blown. Any ideas?

I am assuming you took the panel off your passenger side front door. I would look for any cut wires and make sure that you connected the harness up tight. The main switch for the door locks are controlled from this door. Look for any pinched or cut wires.

I have the same problem right now with my front two doors. They wont lock with the remote or with the switch inside. And if i try to manually move the switch to the locked position it wont move it is like almost stuck. It doesnt make any sense to me i have messed with it for about an hour and gave up.
I have a 01 XJ
If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated!!!

I had the same issue, and coupled with a drivers window switch issue, really had me :flame: I just looked on ebay, and found both front door switches out of a 98 xj for 50 for the pair, installed both of them, fixed the locking problems, and all my window problems so far.
If you really want your problems with all this trouble fixed, find doors with roll up windows. That is what i was going to do if these switches did not work. And if these start causing problems in the future, thats what i will do, get all new doors, then cut down my front electric doors to half doors.
