For almost a year now I have been working at Wasatch Trailers as a mechanic. Over the past four months or so we have been getting slower and slower. Well it happened and they had to lay some people off.
I am just wondering if you guys know of any decent jobs. I am not sure what I want to do. I have been thinking more and more I dont want to get dirty anymore but money is money. I can weld(not pro but good) I have been working on cars and such for a while and I know mechanical stuff. I am 21 just in case that matters and I dont do drugs and what not.
Thanks guys
Chadwick

You want to play with satellites? Might have an opening still for a Dish Sub-Contractor. You would have to have a vehicle and tools, like a ladder and a screw gun.

Who knows whats going to happen now. My dad wants me to go back to school so maybe... I just hate the idea of being a broke-ass student.

No I think it would be a good thread to help people out.

Can you tell me a little more about it? I have a job, but only work 1 day a week.

Well if enough people feel this way then whoever needs to get it done should eh?

Not much to tell really. You would be a sub contractor. You supply all the wire and fittings. The company would supply the Dish kits and receivers. You would receive a route to do everything from installs to service calls. It's piece work you get paid by the job not by the time it takes you. Different jobs pay different amounts.

Honestly... Post a resume on careerbuilder.com. My wife put her resume up about a month ago and she gets about a call a day. She's doing 2-3 interviews a week and has found some decent jobs. She's not really looking though, she does it more for the experience. She currently has a job and is in grad school so I don't know what she's thinking, but I don't dare ask because she's a woman and I don't have time for her response. Ha ha!
Chad... do what you love. If it's cooking... do it! It's seriously about being happy in life, not making gobs and gobs of money. There was a lady on Oprah a couple of months ago (no I didn't watch it!) that went from being a CFO and making 6 figures a year to being a trapeze artist in the circus making less than $20K a year and she was happier than ever. Do what makes you happy man.
