Air compressor pressure switch not working.

I just put a compressor in my jeep with a 1.5 gallon tank and it works great accept the auto shut off doesnt work. It will continue to build pressure way after 135psi wich is what its supposed to be set at. Iv adjusted it and nothing works. Anybody have any ideas why its not working?

It's likely wired wrong and not cutting the power to the clutch. Do you have a pressure relief valve in the system? Don't trust typical pressostats, always have some sort of redundancy.

Yeah I have a relief valve I think its a 150 PSI release valve. But its supposed to shut off at 135psi.
