i have a 92 cherokee 4.0l and the alternater is bad just wondering what other vehicals if any share the same alt that could bolt back in place of the original. i know i should get a new one but i am on a budget and i have access to a couple of wrecking yards i am not sure if they have any jeeps though.also i was reading a thread on here about s10 springs i have a broken leaf in my springs which i need to replace for the cert, in the thread he uses 92 s10 springs just wondering if all s10 years would work. thanks mark

I think on one of the grand models a 120 or 140 amp alternator came stock. Im not sure what model...maybe someone else that knows will jump in.

99-01 xj cherokee have a 124 amp alternator. should be a direct bolt in for a 92 if it has a denso.:peace: 98 model year and down have 75-90 amp depending on motor and options. this does not include early xj's with the alternator from delco.
