trying for zebra stripes

any one have suggestions, i am doing black lower and pink upper on my junk ( the pink is for my 5 year old baby girl, she is my best wrencher and wheeling buddy, so she wants it, she gets it!! ) rattle can will do but need technique for calibrating/ laying out the stripes.

Googling "zebra stripe stencil" turned up a bunch of good results. Apparently lots of people sell big (table-top size) zebra stripe stencils.
