Is there gonna be any positions opening up any time soon? Possibly looking for a career change. We could branch out into Vanagon stuff. It would be beautiful music. Christ we could start slow and just specialize in miles upon miles of radiator hose and some head gaskets and make a killing. Food for thought.

Nah......... Vanagons are for fundless hippies. No money in 'em.
I was thinking of hitting the Smart Car market! Lift kits, fire suits and helmets! Just think of the sales from step-ladders! Let's go green-wheeling!
I wonder if Pro Comp makes a 14" mud terrain........... :D

About the lack of dreamy and abundant Vanagons that can be had in our fair nation.

Vanagons? Sure sounds like a hippie to me. There's a shop up here that swaps VR6 engines into 'em, lift kits, big gnarly bumpers etc.
All the employees are hippies. Customers, too.

Not at all a fan of the VR swap although I have seen it done before. It's too tall and usually requires a hole in the floor. The Subaru conversion is much cleaner. I did just see one recently that had a 1.8T conversion done and it was very clean.

I think I got my letters switched up. What's the one in the SVX? They've got a pile of those cars behind the shop. A VR6 would be very tall now that you mention it.

Yep...you're right. It's the SVX. The VR swap I saw stuck up at least 6-8" and the guy had used fiberglass to cover it all up.
