jeep wont start is it hte CPS

i have a 90 xj 4l automatic 4x4 and i am installing a older transmission from a 87, aw4 with np242 transfercase. i got everything hooked up except the sensor on the bell housing, Im not sure but i think it is the CPS? crankshaft positioning sensor?

its turning over just not starting???

Yes, that's the CPS. Is there a reason that you are trying to start the engine without it hooked up? The engine definately will not start with it disconnected.

yes definitely cps had same prob less than week ago
