Everytime I drive by this place there are lifted Xj's and ZJ's outside of it, granted they break down all the time (gasp) but does anyone have experience with them? I'm biting the bullet on mine and they are nearby and all that good stuff.
TIA

Downey's in Pawling is actually closer, also Justin's on rt22 in Patterson, used to be in Put/ lake. even closer. Downey's owner and his head mechanic are both 4x4 guys and won't dick you around. Whats happening now, same stuff?

well, now when I turn the key I get nothing, not even the fuel pump and I know the battery is good, and the gauges are all pinned to the right....LUCKILY a co-workers 93 has a crank/no start issue so I"m waiting to hear what the mechanic does to his first. It's just been too freakin cold to work on it myself. I'll check out downeys and see how far much a tow would be

No I wish I did, they seem pretty good, and he does towing, (Had them tug my pickup out of a snowbank once, guys were pretty cool) I feel a little bad that I havent been that much help to you, but I ran into a pile of grief with my heep that I had to fix,in the cold....and snow. I would suggest calling them, explain what the deal is and see if they can help you out. Both he and Downey are always busy, and dont charge 90 bux an hour shop time, like some places around us.

well, that is my next step, got one bolt out of the bellhousing but the 5 degree weather stopped me there. Unfortunately when I turn the key the fuel pump no longer turns on so it's gotta be something more than just the starter, although my cps is unplugged
GRRRRRRRRRRR:smsoap:

Sounds like theres still a pile of electrical things still going on, aside from starter trouble.

yeah I think I'm going to open an account at chase (get free 100 bucks) and get 5-90s electrical upgrade

I thought you had redone the power leads, etc a couple weeks ago, what else happened?

I had the wire and all that and our mechanic quit, and bolted with all the stuff and then it got cold and snowy so I put it off. We have a new mechanic starting, owned his own shop for 20 years and he said he'd take a look at it soon, so I'm gonna wait on him
