Anyone know where to get large diameter steel threaded rod?

I'm looking to modify an old tire changer that has a 2.5" OD tube center post and threaded cone to secure the wheel with. Todays aluminum wheels generally have a much smaller center hole/center cap that won't go over this tube.

I'd like to find some 1" to no bigger than 1.5" OD threaded rod and a nut to modify this tire changer. I'd prefer something without a lot of threads per inch so it's quick to spin on and off.

Anyone know where a 2' to 3' section of this rod can be purchased?

Thanks!

Den co fasteners off I-70 and washington. They make custom stuff. We get alot of our flang studs and bolts there. Thats what I've used to make tire carrier plates and brackets. I have a few in my garage but they are threaded the whole way. I think they are 1-1/4 maybe and about 5 or 6 " long. With two nutx on them. They can make any size and thread with nut and washer combo you ask for. I think I picked up some 2-1/2 inch ones from them and have seen some montser 3"+ sizes up there.

I'd be willing to trade for that pully bolt and block thing we talked about a few weeks back. It's been holding ok, but I really want to fix that I don't like limping around with semi broken stuff on the jeep.
