[98_XJ_Classic]

Ok heres the scoop I've got a 98 classic with 110,000 miles on her. Shes in her prime right now so I'm not to worried about a blowup or anything, but I've been thinking about picking up a 4.0L HO, AW4 tranny, and np242 TC (it has a 231 right now) and rebuilding them just so I have quality replacments when the time comes. My question is should I waste my money and time, or when she finally goes to that boulder in the sky should I buy a new? By the way this is my DD.

If i was you i would just not worry about it and upgrade your Jeep. If you do decide to buy an Extra engine, tranny and T-case go with another 231. 101k is barely breaking a sweat as long as you maintain it!
