I have a chance to pick up a late 70's Ford F-150 4x4, pretty beat up but the axles look good. Question is there does seem to be any lock out hubs just drive flanges on the front axle. Did they ever come with auto hubs or drive flanges. And what years had the welded c-brackets? Did get a chance to crawl under and look. Thanks

1969 - 1977 have welded on C-bushing mounts.

If it's an F-250 from the mid 70's it could be low pinion, so make sure that it's a high pinion if it's of that vintage.

Some ford's came with drive flanges in place of the locking hubs. They are easily changed to standard hubs, with no part swapping.
