My wife and I went to see this movie last night. This is IMHO the best Eastwood movie yet and I have seen them all. My wife, who isn't a Eastwood fan said it was a great movie and his character reminded us both of her "Korean War Vet" dad.

And yes, the car is sweet too!

I agree with beakie, I only got an hour of sleep last night, but hopefully I can get a nap in at some point, and take the girlfriend to see it later on. Glad to hear you liked it!

I've heard some mixed reviews.

Mostly I heard it should have just been called. "get off my lawn"

Because thats about the only point to the movie but...I haven't seen it.

Nope, its much deeper than that! The trailer doesn't do this movie justice!

had an "advance copy" of it about four weeks ago-- excellent first 3/4 of a movie, but twice I started watching around midnight and fell asleep before it was over.... I'm hoping to see the rest soon.

same hear I have watched it 3 times already, Eastwood was great the rest of the acting was okay. The more times you watch it the more racial remarks you catch.

I grew up with those people, all WWII and Korean war hard asses. You learn respect real fast and at an early age is all I can say. I was about 12 and made some wise ass remark around my parents friends, I got my butt whooped right then and there and nothing further was ever said but boy I learned.

Great movie!!

They call it a typical Eastwood movie, and in some ways it is, but in a lot of ways its not.

Just have to add, I have a 1970 ford truck thats almost exactly like the one he drives. His character worked for ford fer like 40 years!! Hell yeah!

It made me like the movie that much more.

Saw it last week. It reminded me of my grandpa, when he got older and his neighborhood started filling up with scum he would mow his lawn with a gun on his hip.

Moral of this story---don't hang out with punk ass thugs who have no life and do something with yourself.
