Failed Inspection!!!!!!

I have a 94 Jeep Cherokee and I just failed. The list of things wrong is follows:

E-Brake
Driver's Seat
Exhaust Leak
Front Brakes
Rear Brakes

and the one I need help with is the Rear Axle Seals or complete overhaul of rear axle. I have the Haynes Manual and was wondering if anyone had any input that might help me along the way? Also, is there a way to tell if it's the brake cylinder or the axle seal that's leaking? My brake fluid is low but the fluid in the diff. is low too.

Is there any other newer model rearend I can replace this with? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Pop the drums off and peel the rubber covers back a little. It should be dry inside there. Also, brake fluid has it's own pungent smell. Smell it at your master cylinder reservoir and compare to the rear end leak. OMG - Glad I don't live in Virginia.
