With over 14 million made, I'm sure there's many a freak driving an XJ out there. Yours truly notwithstanding...

"Please don't ruin my life."
Sounds like me when I was 10.
They never want to admit, even to themselves, that they are responsible for getting into that situation. Always the one who catches them.

Is that the guy who drove by while the arrest was being made, but than came back after the girl-boy told him the nextdoor neighbor was getting arrested for drug abuse?

I liked the CSI epesode where the XJ suposidly got shoved into a train. Thing was barely damaged, and there was suposidly some kind of recorder in the ladys phone recording the engine. They played back said recording saying it sounded like a 4cyl in reverse floored spinning the tire.

Oh, and that new show on SciFi "EURECA" uses a pre97 xj, and a 06 Grand as the law inforcement vehicles

There were something like 2.8 million made, I think. 14 sounds way high.

Ah! But did you notice the error in the movie?
It said that he got stranded in '94, but the XJ he was driving was actually a drk blue 97+ model.

Actually, it's a '99 or newer, as those wheels weren't available until '99.

Don't forget, it was at the beginning of the movie, before he got stranded.....so it had to be a 1990 or earlier.

She was driving it after he was found, later in the movie.
He also drove it at the end of the movie.
The movie was set in '95.

Also, he was gone for four years, so when he returned in 1999, his XJ would have been new.:confused1
