Here in Germany it's a little hard to shop for used cars or trucks due to the language barrier. Well there is a German American buddy of mine in my company that is good with the lingo so I asked him to hep me find a Cherokee and he said he had a guy in his platoon getting ready to go back to the states looking to sell one.
I asked him about it and it's a '93,close to 200k miles on it, but it runs (he drives it daily) and gets him around still. His wife just had inspected 4 months ago by German law, and they replaced the brakes and fixed some leaks due to bad seals at the pans.
He leaves next month to go back to the states and the Army will only ship one vehicle for free, so he's selling this one for $500. He just needs to get it inspected this week and he said he'd get with me about it.
Pretty stoked to not only get an XJ, but have two vehicles for the family. I'll get it up and in good shape and ship it home myself.
