My oil pan plug bolt is stripped on the head of the bolt. Where can I pick up a replacement bolt? Does anyone know the size?

I picked up one of those quick-drain plugs from AutoZone and so far so good. It was about $13 and you just unscrew a hand tightened cap, then screw in the little fitting and it drains. Very easy and very clean. Once you're done draining, just unscrew the cap and it automatically seals, so less mess. Comes with a hose so you can direct the oil into a catch pan more easily. Nothing fancy but it was worth the $13.
Just my $.02

Any autoparts store should have drain plugs. You can even get the oem style one with the moulded rubber gasket.

Any autoparts store should know what size it is. They will look it up on the computer. An oem replacement bolt should be no more than a couple bucks. I got a magnetic one from http://magneticdrainplug.com (http://magneticdrainplug.com/) for 6.99. Works very well. He ships real quick to.

Pretty sure it's M12/1.5, but if you can find the info from the store, that would probably be better than my memory :D

I replaced the drain plug on my 01 XJ just the other day.
It's a 1/2-20.
Dorman PN# 65267-"Pilot point with molded gasket"
Got it at Pep Boys for about $5.

Or 5/8 for the metrically challenged.
