I'm looking at getting a bender and I am going to set up the mill and make some dies for it. I'm going to start with the 1.75". What radius do you guys like the best. On the JD dies, is the published radius the inside of the bend or the centerline of the tube?

Same bender, 5.5" radius, outside radius seems to be close to 6.25. I have wondered if the sent me the wrong die..
I do wish for a TIGHTER bend..

So if you put a piece of tube in and bend it, it measures roughly 6.25" from the center of the die to the outside of the tube????
I may make several dies of different radius's.

The advertised radius is to center of tube.

Tom... if you want to swing down to Henderson, I'll loan you my 1.75 die for reference as long as I get it back relatively soon.
