There is a little black box mounted to the floor under the rear seat of my 97 XJ. The box is just to the left of the factory amp. It also has a big arrow on it pointing to the front. It has 2 wires going to it. I dont remember my 2000 having it.

Any ideas of what it is?

Found it, it is for the ABS

ACCELERATION SWITCH
The acceleration switch is located under the rear seat. The switch (Fig. 4), provides an additional vehicle deceleration reference during 4WD operation. The switch is monitored by the CAB at all times. The switch reference signal is utilized by the CAB when all wheels are decelerating at the same speed.
