The US is a socialst group with a socialist agenda (and have been since Dag Hammarskjold) and the US frightens them.
However, they still see us as a "cash cow" whenever they need money. Our manning of UN operations usually exceeds treaty requirements (even though we don't have anyone actually in charge of an operation...) we give them a headquarters building, and (thanks to Diplomatic Immunity and suchlike,) I think they're in arrears to New York City for a couple million dollars in unpaid citations.
Y'ask me, boot them out and convert the building into "moderate income housing." Or just a homeless shelter... We'll get the UN out of here, and get us out of the UN. You leave us alone, we leave you alone... All the UN really is is a bitching forum anyhow, and otherwise about as useful as the vermiform appendix.
Granted, if we stopped propping them up, they'd probably collapse under their own weight - which makes it that much more valid a reason to get out!

There wouldn't be a UN without us anyway. They've got some nerve. They hate us today and will be asking for handouts tomorrow, and then we would still be the bad guys weather we give them help or not.
Screw em all. Let the make it on there own.

Awright - tell them they're getting a headquarters from us, and that's all. No more funding, no more manning - just the building.
Oh - and collect on all those citations. It's about time we got something back...

Screw em. The UN is less than useful, and a waste of great real estate and tax payers money funding the stage for third world wannabees. The UN does nothing for us, I say send them to Europe. Maybe that vast wasteland called Poland? Or France. Either one, let some one else pay for it.

You're absolutely right. No one needs to say anything to disgrace Bush, he does an excellent job of doing that himself.

I'd be there clapping if I could. Chavez has every right to say what he wants. Hell it's true too. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is his name. They applaud because they have some sense.

The UN is completely disfunctional.
Rwanda, Darfur, etc.
I dunno why the US stays in. Hell, for that matter I dunno why Canada does either (obviously completely different reasons for each to leave - US gets nothing out of it, Canada puts little in).
I'm all for "Fortress North America/SDI/whatever". Let the barbarians do their thing. We'll trade with whomever ultimately wins.

Ramsey- I still think yo uare a whining bitch, but I tend to agree with you on this point.
Bush is a fralling moron, and has done a lot of lasting damage to this country.
Dems and Pugs alike, they need to GTFO of office, and We need to be done with this two party system of ours.

Chavez though is an idiot. We should stop buying that a-holes oil, and let it pile up on the dock. He embaresses his country when he opens his mouth, wether or not he is correct. ( and I highly doubt the UN smells like sulfer)
The UN is just a bunch of 3rd world nations given a chance to seem bigger than they are.
And as for Ahmadinejad...give him the technology and he WILL blow Israel up. He has said so on more than a few occasions, but comes back yesterday with the line.." We love everybody...it's Israels government we don't like."
He is the most disingenuous person on the planet right now.
God forbid if John Kerry was in office..."hey..wait guys...lets call Greenland and see what they have to say about it..."
Or worse...AL Gore.

So just how did he cheat his way into office the second time? Or the first? Actually I can't agree with what people are saying about him messing up the country, actually its the media that highlights, make sh!t up, and degrades the president. I think he is just trying to clean up what every other president before him left or started. Granted he has good and bad ideas, his biggest downfall is he comes across as an average intelligent guy (i.e. he doesn't come across as very articulate) and the media eats it up. I can only imagine that the libby's and bush haters think that every other leader in this world is very articulate, college educated, master degreed and such and never have any problem saying what they mean. I guess you never come across differently than you want too. The thing is in other countries, even the UK, the media isn't allowed to degrade their leaders or death become it. In this country, no matter who has been in office over the last 20 years, is seems the thing to do is pick on and high light the president mistakes and choices. Hell 50 years ago, nothing like this would ever have happened. You know why nobody in the outside world like the US, because we show signs of weakness to them, if your country as a whole doesn't support and respect you, why should the rest of the world.
Oh yeah, screw the UN, bunch of:rattle: .........I think we should set up in downtown Bagdad and call it good. Lets see what happens then........at least it would be fun to watch everybody come crawling to us........"we need your help".........hey, actually why doesn't the US go mafia style......you want protection, ok, supply us with free oil, money, good, etc...........Now there is an idea......Me for Pres............HAHAHA

Why do you think they do that? Iran is developing nuclear weapons the last thing they want is to be accountable. If they help the UN to appear to be a bunch of arseholes and do it for long enough they will piss off the US to the point it withdraws from the UN . Without the US cashcow the Un is less able to carry on. In other words they cant carry out nuclear inspections........ Iran Wins.
RichP is right keep your friends close and your enemies even closer, the Iranian thug is the new Hitler and we know what happened when Wilson ignored the first.

Actually if we had left Iraq alone things would be bit better, Iraq kept Iran in check and visa versa and has for several hundred years. Us goin in there upset the two now Iran has no problems with Iraq. I gotta wonder how many of the Iraqi and Iranian nuclear engineers, among others, were trained and educated in the free world and soviet union. Might be good idea to not offer certain disciplines to certain nationals or countries or course that would also be profiling and not correct to do...
