The wife and I had planned on staying up in Big Bear today then coming home tomorrow. But with the snow forcasted for the mountain we decided to head on back home early.
It looks like we made the good choice.
Imagine me towing my Cherokee down the 18!

Snow run soon? :D
I remember a few years ago Bent got stuck on Pontiac or our AAT during a deep snow storm. He called out for help. Remi and a couple other guys rushed up there to help dig Tim out. They pulled off the pavement and headed down the trail. The instant that Remi pushed the clutch in the shift, he lost all momentum and sunk down to the frame. No the rescuers were stuck as well. In the meantime, Tim managed to free himself and came around behind them to pull the rescuers out.
I know I messed up on the details, but it was a funny story.
Me... I stay away from deep snow. I'm too tight with gravity.

49" inches of snow and growing here in Forest falls. I had to use a broom stick to measure it. My yard stick just disapeared into the snow. This is the most snow we have had all at once in a few years. I can't wait to dust off the snowboard and get up to some of the resorts.

My little Ford Focus handled the snow quite well. Until I got within about 1000 feet of home. Then all the slush finally overcame the poor little car. The electronics got wet and it sputtered and died. I pushed it halfway, brought the Jeep out and couldn't find a suitable tow point without getting down in the sleet/mud, gave up, pushed it further (with the help of the wife steering), got it started enough to move (with the pedal floored it sat at maybe 1300 rpm) and limped the last 50 feet uphill at about 4.32 mph. We'll see how it acts tomorrow. I really need to get my Jeep back on the road...
