The 175 is a great welder.
If things go right, I'll be selling it in the near future.

Hahaha, I don't know.
Depends on how long I have it, I guess.
Hopefully, if things go well, it won't have much use, before upgrading.

On requests: If you sell bumpers like this one (http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?p=276231#post276231) or this one (http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?p=276231#post276231), I'll buy one. I'd also love to see a gas tank skid that wouldn't interfere with my rear tow hooks.
Good luck OT!
EDIT: nevermind the gas tank skid request; just saw your skid/hitch combo. Nice.

what about, well here is a list of ideas: tube doors with integrated snap jackets that have integrated 6.5 speaker boxes?, rear bucket seat bracket conversion out of tubing with mounting tabs?, rear bumpers, rook racks, tansfercase skid, engine skid, exterior armor like rear quarter panel etc, light boxes, light mounts, man i dunno please i like talking about all these creative ideas for the cherokee and if you could put some of them from paper to reality i would definatly make some investments... what ideas and areas are yall planning to concentrate on? i guess getting a product out to begin with is hard anyways but ideas like the hitch and gas tank skid are very inciteful and creative... so what are yall planning on making?

A tougher variation of the OF front bumper will be in the works.
That design is extremely labor intensive, but a stronger unit would actually be easier and quicker to build.

We would love to eventually put out all of the products you mentioned.
If you have plans on paper, but need the parts built, we can do that, as well.(I love custom designs)
For starters, though, there will be the GTskid, adjustable control arms made to suit, extended brake lines (SS or rubber), and any special requests can be handled expeditiously.
Basically, you tell me what you want and I'll take care of the rest.

well yeah i have a lot of sketches and stuff and ideas... thats awesome wish you were located a little closer though... there really is not too many cherokee specific builders around ga... there is a land cruiser biz which is awesome called urban cruisers and dwell is some jeep stuff, southern off road fabrications which do cool stuff and a few others but for having a cherokee specific or concentrated fab work is really handy to know about though shipping is an small bump in the road for most fabbed parts but i will definatly send you some ideas and see what yall can do for me! thanks!

That skid/hitch combo is a really great idea. 2 issues with one part. Recovery and protection!! You wouldn't have to depend on a bumper for your recovery needs! I can see it being copied and sold for more... perhaps even BY M.O.R.E.

As soon as we are producing bumpers, we'll make up a slightly scaled down unit for TJs, as well.
Shouldn't be too long before that happens.
Hey, Ron, thanks for the advice.

i got a few ideas for you, some might be a little out of your range for now but just putting it out there.
-chevy 350 conversion brackets
-modular exoskelleton
-stinger, winch, and hitch bumpers
-long arm front conversions, coilover 3 or 4 link rear
-flat mount skidplates, example RE skid
-axle trusses
-subframe connectors
-rear shock frame mount adapters, i got a few ideas on this one centered around a unit i got that takes moves the shock mounts to a bar instead of to the crappy underbody mounts that mounts in the stock bumpstop location
tube bumpers
-i like the rear converion brackets for bucket seats, how bout a universal adapter for the front seats, for mastercraft ect.
well these are just a few ideas, i got plenty more so just let me know what you think ok,

that sure is a lot of mig wire per skid though... and Argon/C02...
there is no way to make that bottom piece 1 piece and bend it in a brake? that would save you 2 welds and probably 20 minutes...
actually looking at it, you could make the sides and bottom all one piece, and only have to weld the seams, then weld on the rec tube - that would cut down production time, and make a stronger product...
is there a local sheetmetal shop that you could convince to make you a punched out plasma template and then bend the sheets for you? i doubt it would cost much to have a few bends put into the piece...
OT

The long spans of weld add support to the wide open areas.
Support can come that way, or by adding more steel to it.
I chose mig wire.
Plus, just by appearances alone, who could deny that those GT-Skids are tough?

OT, that thing is very impressive.
Have you any ideas for an MJ gas tank skid? I can take pictures and measurements. My LWB tank is kinda vulnerable. Looks like I had a skid at some point but it's been removed.
It appeared to bolt to the frame rail, and thn to a support that came down from the bed. Perhaps Mark can confirm.
