bushing kit from quadratec?

is it worth it to spend the 150 bucks on bushings from QT or should I just buy them piecemeal from the local parts shop?

If you don't need all of them don't buy the kit. There has been a lot of discussion about the merits of poly and rubber bushings here in the past.

I prefer the rubber replacements you can get at the local parts place, cheap and quiet. My .02 cents
