The B hoop was too wide, and the rear was tied into the back of the cab, so off the whole rear went.
Fever? No fever here, I'm blaming the company I've been keeping the last 4 months. :D
The rear end was shifted about an inch. The front is pushed back a half inch on the same side. Why can't this just be simple? :D

It could read or be written a number of ways. Opie is not incorrect, it's just not the standard.
4/10, 40/100, 400/1000, .4, .40, .400, 13/32 is also close.
The story is that a few days after Opie showed up here, I was looking at his front axle from a few feet away. I asked him if he knew it was bent on the passenger side. He did not. I said "look", he said, "Are you sure?".
The axle straightening guy told him it was .4" out, and his long side axle shaft snapping days came to an end. :D
The lesson that it led into was that an experienced machinist or sheet metal guy can usually "see" .015" under most circumstances.

Heck, even us floor monkeys can can note 1/64th out just by looking. And our manufacturers say that is an acceptable tollerance...yeah right!
That would have your average 15' wall almost a quarter inch out!
